在許多偏鄉地區、學校，並沒有流暢的網絡設施，同時電子書也意味著孩子們必須擁有3C產品，然而許多家庭無法負擔這麼多的支出。在偏鄉的小學校，也缺少中文及較為昂貴的外文故事書，即沒辦法提供小朋友足夠多元的圖書，很難讓孩子們搭起與書籍的橋樑，且培養良好的閱讀習慣。

In an increasing digital age, why do we still encourage donation of physical books?
In many rural areas, there are limited access to reliable internet connectivity. Additionally, E-books require children to have access to electronic devices, which many families cannot afford. Schools in rural areas also have a lack of both Chinese and foreign language books, which means children aren't provided with a wide variety of books.
This makes it difficult for them to cultivate good, lifelong reading habits.
